FAQ
Where are you located?
We are located at Jan Bernardusstraat 27 1091TS in the Weesperzijde neighborhood between the Amstel River and Wibautstraat. Both the Wibautstraat metro station and Amstel Station are very close to us as well as many other public transportation options.
Can any dog be a Little Bloom?
Unfortunately, no. We accept dogs that weigh a maximum of 20kg. Also, all Little Blooms must be up-to-date on vaccinations and be taking flea/tick medication.
How do I make my first appointment?
Fill out the contact form on the website or send a message on WhatsApp or via email. Daycare, boarding, and grooming appointments can be made once we know more about your Little Bloom and what services you are interested in booking. You are also free to come visit us in person before making an appointment. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with us and feel confident your pet is in great hands.
Is there anything required before I make my first appointment?
All Little Bloom Parents (LBPs) will need to provide proof of immunizations (DHP, Leptospirosis, Bordatella/Canine Influenza). LBPs will need to read and understand the Terms & Conditions. LBPs will need to fill out the Registration Form that covers basic details regarding their Little Bloom so that we may provide the most tailored care possible. The Registration Form and Terms & Conditions will be sent to you once you reach out to us.
How does daycare work?
Typical daycare hours are 7:00 to 19:00 but of course dropping your dog off for an evening out is no problem. After your 1st appointment, you can use our WhatsApp number or Email anytime to contact us to book again. We can also arrange to pick-up or drop-off your Little Bloom for a fee and based on your location. How does grooming work?
Please use the Contact form to reach out so we can discuss your dog’s grooming needs. After your 1st appointment, you can use our WhatsApp number or Email anytime to contact us to book again. We can arrange to pick-up or drop-off your Little Bloom for a fee and based on your location. Please note: Grooming appointments can last anywhere from 1 - 5 hours depending on the services ordered, the state of their fur/hair, and their stress level. We take breaks as needed to make sure your Little Bloom does not get too stressed out. Your grooming fees will be charged upon pick-up.
Will you pick-up / drop-off my dog?
Yes. For an additional fee of €5 each way and if you are located in or near the 1091 postal code. Contact us to find out if you are in the pick-up / drop-off zone.
Will you feed my dog?
Yes. It’s always best for dogs to stick to their food routine if possible. This would mean the Little Bloom Parents would drop off food for the day with their Little Bloom. However, Full Bloom Dog Care will provide Hills Science Diet I/D wet or dry food (depending on preference) for meals as needed. This formula is chicken flavored and made in an easily digestible formula for sensitive tummies. There will also be treats and snacks throughout the day.
Will my dog ever be put in a cage?
Not unless you request it as part of your dog’s routine. Your dog will enjoy everything our apartment and neighborhood has to offer. During the day, they will enjoy soft dog beds or furniture for napping in between walking and playing outside. At night, your dog will rest in complete comfort in whatever way you request–on the bed or in a crate. The only other time your dog may be separated from the group is if they need space to eat or if they show signs of being sick.
How will I know my dog is having fun?
We will WhatsApp you pictures of your Little Bloom throughout the course of their stay with us.
Do you offer Weekend or Evening services?
Full Bloom Dog Care is open 7 days a week (including holidays).
Our Daycare hours are typically 7:00 to 19:00. But you can also leave your Little Bloom for an evening out. We are flexible.
Our Boarding hours are typically 18:00 to 9:00 as a guide. Just let us know what you need and we will make it work.
My Dog has Separation Anxiety / Medical Needs - is that okay?
Absolutely. Our co-manager, Lola the schnoodle, has separation anxiety and chronic health issues. We never leave your dog alone and we can administer any medicine as necessary.
Do you take Dogs that have not been Spayed / Neutered?
Yes and no. We will give any dog who has not been altered a chance. If they show hormone-driven behaviors that don’t work with the Bouquet (humping, indoor territory marking, aggression), they will not be able to return. Little Bloom Parents will need to provide diapers for their unaltered female during their cycle. If their cycle is too disruptive to the Bouquet, she may be required to stay home for those 3 weeks. We will take it on a case-by-case basis.
Can I Cancel Anytime?
Yes, of course. But we do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel before 24 hours, no worries. If you cancel within the 24 hour period before your reservation, you will be charged 50% of (1) day of the reservation. Reservations cancelled ‘Day Of’ pay 100% of (1) day of the reservation. Anyone who pays in advance and cancels with proper notice will receive a full refund.
What vaccinations do you require?
For the health and safety of all Little Blooms under our care, we require your dog to be up-to-date (and to stay up-to-date) on the following vaccinations:
- DHP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus) (Every 3 years)
- Leptospirosis (Every year)
- Bordatella/Canine Influenza (Every year)
You will need to provide proof of vaccination status before you can make your first appointment with us. You can send a photo of your Pet Passport in advance or bring it with you to your first appointment. If you do not have a Pet Passport, you can ask your vet for a vaccination status document and forward it to us in advance or bring it with you to your first appointment.
I need to board my dog but I’m worried he may be sick. Can I still board him?
Unfortunately, no. If your dog is sick, you need to make other arrangements. Our concern is always for the health and safety of all Little Blooms in our care. We cannot knowingly expose them to a dog that is ill.
My dog has Fleas / Ticks / Worms. Can I still board him?
Unfortunately, no. You will need to provide your dog with the appropriate medications to get rid of any parasites. Once your dog is on a schedule for flea/tick/worm medicine and no longer has active parasites on or in them, they can join us.
